Our friends Phillip and Tracy Ray came for a visit this past weekend! We had wonderful time! Saturday night we went to Branson to the Branson Landing where we ate at Texas Land and Cattle, a wonderful steak house. The landing has an incredible fire show right on the river, gorgeous.

Tracy wanted me to take a few pics of Carson while they were here. . .he was 2 months old on Saturday! We just did a few snap shot type pictures but they turned out great, to me at least! lol

Hi Everyone

I’m writing this with tears and a very heavy heart. I just heard from Kari Jo. Blayton’s bone marrow biopsy has already been done today and it is confirmed that he does indeed have leukemia. There was no mistake. They know the type (AML) now. He will be transferred from Arkansas Children’s Hospital to St. Jude tomorrow due to the weather conditions today. Please keep them in your prayers.

One of my childhood friends is in need of some major prayer warriors right now in her life. She just recently had her 2nd child 9 weeks ago. He was born a healthy little boy until he became extremely ill. The first to happen was his uvula (the dangly thing in the back of your throat) was too long and placid, preventing him of breathing normally. They took him to Arkansas Childrens Hospital to resolve this problem with surgery, where he was then placed in a room with a baby with RSV. Everyone knows that RSV is a fatal infant respiratory infection. Well due to this he then came down with RSV. Everything seemed to be going very well until he started having really bad reflux. They then took him back to the doctor to find that his esophagus was wrapped and he needed two surgeries on his stomach to strengthen the lining. This poor family had been through so much. They werent getting the answers they wanted/needed at childrens so they took him to Childrens in Shreveport, LA. Yesterday afternoon about 3:30 they received the worst news that a parent could ever receive. They were told by the doctors that their 9 week old perfect little boy had LEUKEMIA. We are all so devastated. They got him on a breathing tube about midnight last night and air-flighted him to St.Judes this morning.

There are two types of this certain cancer, ALL and AML. They are going to rebiopsy his bone marrow to make sure but they are thinking that he may have ALL which is the better of the prognosis. After saying all this, I am asking that you say a prayer of healing and faith for this family. I just dont know what I would do if I was in this position. Prayer is what they need and prayer is all I am asking for...

Ok so these past few months have been very hectic. First things first....we have moved to HARRISON, AR...Jason got a job here about a month ago and within one week we were moved up here and settled in.....with a few setbacks. Within the first of being here Jason fell on some ice and SHATTERED his ankle in numerous places. He had surgery on February 29th, where he had one plate and 12 screws inserted. He has been in a walking boot now for 4 1/2 weeks. We go back to the doctor on April 15th. But other than that we love it here.

Jadyn just started mothers day out and has fallen deeply in love it. She goes to "school" on tuesday and thursday from 9:30 to 2:30, giving me some time to do my errands and get the house straightened up. Everything is so different but it is a good different.

I am Back....For Now

Jason and I have had ALOT going on lately. Jason lost his job (which I won't go into any detail about) Jadyn got put in the hospital, and I have had to start to a FULL TIME job to attempt at making up for what is NOT coming in anymore. Times have been very hard lately. I know I have had a few people ask where I have been but I have had NO time for anything but my family. I am very sorry for that.

So anyway I just wanted to try and catch everyone up on what has been going on lately through some pictures...

Jadyn wanted to hold the duck so badly but couldn't bring herself to holding it with her bare hands so she had to get a paper towel...isn't that just the cutest thing ever.

We lost a great friend Sunday to what the docs speculate may have been a massive heart-attach. Wayne Dye was like a grandfather to Jason and I, we have known him for almost 6 years, and we are devastated that he is no longer with us. He was the guy that would literally give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He was fun loving, out going, and just a great person to be around.

It is so wierd as to how everything happened...let me just start from the beginning and tell the story...

Wayne and his wife Lydia ALWAYS carried around a 1/2 dollar in their pockets (which they gave to one another years ago)...well Friday Wayne gave his to one of his co-workers, Dewayne Connor, and told him to hold onto it just in case something happened and he didn't return from the nascar races. Of course Dewayne said to him that nothing is going to happen and he would see him back at work the next week...well of course you all know that didn't happen. It is almost like Wayne knew something was wrong. He had just told Phillip Esaw (another worker at Ryburn) that he didn't sleep good that Thursday night, from a pain in his chest and feeling like he was going to be sick (which in most cases that is the onset of a heart attach) but Wayne obviously had no clue...Then to hear that Wayne and his wife had just recently spoke about how he wanted his funeral arrangements to be...It is so sad and my heart just aches for Mrs. Lydia and everyone that had the chance to know Wayne, he was a super great guy...

Each time Jadyn Cooper and I would go to the dealership and see Jason, she just had to go play with Wayne...He would ALWAYS get her a balloon, or 3 or 4 or 5...he spoiled her rotten. He loved Jadyn Cooper as I know she loved him right back. It pains me to think that I have to in some way try and explain to my little girl (my three year old) that Mr. Wayne will no longer be at daddy's work to play with her and get balloons. I am at a loss for words on how to even go about telling her what happened...Anyone got any suggestions?

Anyway after saying what I have, I just wanted to let everyone know what a great guy he was and is...He is truly missed around the dealership, for he was just like FAMILY!!

Well as some of you know, Jason injured his back in January of this year. He has since had some major trouble with standing up and even sitting down. He has had two MRI's and neither one looked very good. We have an appointment with a neuro-surgeon on October 6th in Little Rock to see whether it can be fixed with shots or if he has to go ahead and have surgery. We, of course, are leaning towards shots for a temporary fix, but by the sound of the doctor, it may have gotten too bad, so surgery may be our only option. So just be thinking about us and say a little prayer.

I should have done this first but being of the human nature, trying EVERYTHING on my own was my first instinct, and sure enough my idea hasn't worked yet.

These past few weeks I have been thinking hard about some of my relationships that have gone "sour." I have asked many people for advice. Although, they have given me great advice, I still have a void in my heart on what I should do or say.

I know that I have done some horrible things in the past to people that I have called my friends. I don't know of one person who has been perfect in every one of their relationships. Whether you think you have or not, I think we all know deep down inside that we have wronged someone in some way or another. My betrayals and hurt of others has been weighing heavily on my heart lately. I have talked to some that have agreed that the "past is the past" and everything is alright, but then they are the others that are bound and determined to not talk about things (which is fine)...I have been called malicious and untrustworthy by some, and that more than anything in this world, hurts me. I have NEVER been called those names. And whomever came up with the quote, "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me," has obviously never been called this. I have given my all for weeks, but I still get called (indirectly and not to my face) some very hateful names.

And so telling that, this morning I decided that nothing anyone says anymore compares to what I can find in the Bible. I have found and read so many passages that talked about bitterness and quarreling and also most importantly, comfort. I think I have made peace with myself about these situations. As corny as it may sound, I feel that God gave me this situation in order for me to turn to him for guidance, not the "world."

I really wanted to share with you the verses that I read this morning, in hopes that if you are struggling in your relationships you will see that if you give your all and nothing happens that it is your fault...

Hebrews 12:14-15

14 Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord. 15 See to it that no one misses the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many.

As you all know Bill Gwatney's funeral was yesterday, August 18th, and there were hundreds of people that attended. Well my brother works for Griffin Leggett Funeral homes. He is an awesome person and has a huge heart for those who are hurting and mourning...He is a certified funeral director, embalmer, and mortition.

Well he has had a very busy weekend...Friday he got to meet with Bill Clinton's secret service and go over all the details of how things should and should not be done and who goes here and who goes there. He was very important or so he thought...lol

This is an email I received this morning...Please keep this family in your prayers...

Hey Everyone, I hope all is well, I have a favor to ask of you all. A friend of mine called yesterday afternoon and told me that another friend of ours had to have an emergency c-section 3 months early. Her blood pressure was high and among other things when her hospital sent her to UAMS on the way there, her placenta detached. The baby weighed around 2 lbs. and he had to have a blood transfusion because he had lost so much blood with the detachment. Her name is Kellie and her husband is Matt. Please remember them in your prayers, they will likely have to stay in the hospital until the baby's due date 3 mo. from now. This is going to be very hard for them all and any prayers you can give would help.

Ok so about a week and a half ago I was getting up off the floor my pinky toe caught hold of the our ottoman. Much to my surprise it was REALLY broke. I got an x-ray and found out that it was a Spiral Break. The nurse that did my x-ray talked to an orthopedic about how he would go about fixing it and he said that if it weren't healed within 5 weeks that it would probably need a pin. I was like "what!!!" for my pinky toe and she said uh huh. So I am patiently waiting for this heal so that I dont have to have surgery. I know you are thinking it is just a pinky toe, but what you dont realize is how much pain that little toe is giving me. So if it doesnt heal guess my little toe will go under the knife to get fixed, never in a million years would I have thought that in order to fix it, it would need a pin...lol

And I only have one child today. Jadyn decided yesterday that it had been way too long since she had seen her papa and Cinny. So my dad came and got her yesterday morning and she will be staying til Saturday.

So that just leaves me and Hayden today. He is such a little cutie. He is so good that it seems like I don't have any kids.

So far we have watched a DVD on trains and planes, and now we are watching Elmo...Hayden loves Elmo.

Meridith (Hayden's mom) just recently found out that she was pregnant, so this means in about 7 months that not only will Meridith have a new addition to her house but so will I. Yes, you heard correctly I will be keeping the new born...WHOO HOO. I am so excited.

So in closing let the fun begin...

I am so ashamed to even show this picture of Jadyn. I cannot get her off the paci without a full blown fit. As cute as I think she may look with it, she is getting too old for it...I need all suggestions on how to resolve this situation! Please... How do you do it?

Forgiveness!

This is something I struggle with daily...

How do you decide who to forgive...There have been times when I have gotten into an argument that the next day or even that same day the person I argued with and myself have said our I'm sorry's and it was over, but there are just a handful of people that have either not accepted my apology or don't want to...

There are also those that I have argued with (which weren't my fault) and they won't even consider apologizing or trying to save our friendship...but they can rekindle a friendship that was once hurt in the past...now what is the difference I ask??

How do you choose who to forgive and who not to??
Why is one argument less important than the another and easier to forgive?
How can you justify accepting one and not another??
Is it just our nature to choose who is a better person over the worst?

I have been occasionally reading this book called God's Promises for You, by Max Lucado, and it has some great explanations of what we should do and how to do it!! The "notes" range from Love to Friendship to Sin...anything and everything I think we all struggle with on a daily basis.

I have been re-reading some old posts that I and others have posted in the past and I have come to realize that some great friends were lost over some childish and petty things...But I do forgive them for everything and I hope that they can see it in their heart to forgive me. I have made a pact to myself that I am changing my life and attitude...starting with making amends with everyone from my past and present. This doesn't mean I will have the courage call each and every person but I am sure that if you are reading this that you get my point and I hope you take it and run with it!

Here are two scriptures in this book about forgiveness and loyal friendship.

Friendships:

Be sure that no one pays back wrong for wrong
but always try to do what is
good for each other and for all people.
Eph. 5:15

Forgiveness:
Be kind and loving to each other
and forgive each other just as God
forgave you in Christ.

Ok, everyone these are my parents...Jimmy and Cynthia Donaldson. About 6 years ago my dad was diagnosed with Basal Cell Carcinoma skin cancer. He gets regular routine checkups each year because of this and the fact that his mother died from Melanom a.

People that are light skinned should get checked regularly, if you are out in the sun or get in the tanning bed. It could be very dangerous!!

Anyway to my point...My parents went to Searcy, where his dermatologist is, to get three mysterious spots looked at...They cut one place off his shoulder and froze two off his face...I am sure they will do a biopsy on the one from his shoulder. So please just keep him in your prayers...He has so many spots on his body that there is no way they can get rid of all of them..Thank you

Jadyn's first time at the Beach and SHE loved it...My Parents just couldn't wait til this summer to take Jadyn so they decided to treat us to a short but fun trip to the beach...We went to Waveland, Mississippi, where I am sure none of you have ever been...The beach wasn't crowded like I thought, since it was Memorial Day weekend...There may have literally been a handful of people there...IT WAS SO NICE!! Here are just a few pictures....

This is Ralph, the bird that Jadyn fed crackers...It was so cute that her and her papa came up with this name!!!

Ok so the water wasn't as clear as the oceans around Destin or Panama City, but Jadyn didn't care, she played til she couldn't play anymore!!

She is just so cute!! There wasn't many waves because we were so close to the mouth of the Mississippi, but the good side to that was the water was not near as salty...

Ok so tonight is Relay for Life in Crossett...I try to attend this every year in memory of my grandmother that passed away from melanoma... which is the most serious type of cancer of the skin. She was a huge inspiration to me...This year I am taking part in a team that is in memory of one of my classmates that died from Hodgkin's lymphoma...which is characterized clinically by the orderly spread of disease from one lymph node group to another and by the development of systemic symptoms with advanced disease. If have not had the chance to take part in this you MUST go to one...if you have had a family member with cancer or have lost a loved due to cancer, Relay for Life is where you need to be.
